A PERFUME whizz has revealed which five high street perfumes to never buy – and one of them even smells like a public toilet.
From the mysterious musky to the refreshing floral, we all have a favourite perfume we cannot get enough of – and this might have something to do with your personality.

But if your perfume bottle is running low, don’t rush to the stores just yet, as one whizz has revealed which top brands to avoid at all costs, as one will leave you smelling like a stuffy washroom.
The TikTok user Erica (@letstalkperfume) is an avid perfume collector and took it to social media to share the list of scents to best give a miss.
Starting off the now viral video, which has been viewed more than a whopping 965,000 times in less than a week, Erica claimed that Golden Nectar by Nest smells like make-up that’s expired.
”A lot of people love it!! I was so sad I didn’t like it.”

Another popular choice by some is the florally Bright Crystal by Versace.
But although this perfume might have had a pleasant and refreshing scent, the joys of it didn’t last too long.
”The scent disappeared into thin air before it even hit my skin,” Erica warned.
It seems like the high-end brand Versace is best to be avoided when it comes to treating yourself to a perfume, as its Pour Femme Dylan Blue had also made it to the list of no-nos.
This scent, though advertised as fruity, floral and sweet, smells anything but nice – Erica went as far as describing it as an aroma you’d get in ”a public toilet that uses apple air freshener”.
When it comes forking out a fortune for a more luxury perfume, most beauty lovers will immediately think of Tom Ford – Lost Cherry and Black Orchid are only two of the cult favourites.

But in Erica’s opinion, not all perfumes by this brand have been a success, and if you were considering buying F***ing Fabulous, best save that money for something else.
”Smells like an old lady’s couch. Nothing fabulous about that,” the expert left a negative review.
Last but certainly not least was By the Fireplace by the high-end brand Maison Margiela.
This unisex scent, which has accords of wood, vanilla and balsamic, really lives up to its name, according to the guru.
”Points for accuracy but I don’t wanna walk around smelling like a bonfire,” Erica chuckled, adding it would make a ”fabulous candle”.

After going viral and being met with criticism by those who were shocked at the list, she continued in the comments: ”Friends remember, these are just perfumes that didn’t work for me!! And why they didn’t work.
”I’m not gonna recommend something I don’t like.”
